Oreo Surprise - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
    25 Oreo cookies
    1 jar caramel fudge ice cream topping
    1/3 c. melted margarine
    1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip
    24 maraschino cherries, drained
Preparation
    Crush cookies; mix with melted margarine.
    Pat in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Slice ice cream; lay on top of cookies.
    Stick in freezer for 5 minutes.
    Put fudge topping over ice cream.
    Top with Cool Whip and cherries.
    Sprinkle with a little crushed cookie.
    Freeze until ready to serve.
