Shrimp Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices day-old bread (thin)
    2 c. chopped, cooked shrimp
    1/2 lb. American cheese slices
    4 beaten eggs
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. milk
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Arrange 6 slices of bread in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan; remove crusts from bread.
    Add half of shrimp and cheese.
    Make another layer of bread, shrimp and cheese.
    Combine eggs, soup, milk and pepper.
    Pour evenly over casserole.
    Let stand at least 15 minutes.
    Several hours improves flavor.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until puffed and lightly browned.
    Serves 6.
