Blueberry Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. soft shortening
1 egg
1 c. milk
1 c. well-drained blueberries
Preparation

Sift together into mixing bowl the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add shortening, egg and milk.
Mix together with blending fork or pastry blender just until ingredients are blended.
Blend in carefully the blueberries.
Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.
Bake until golden brown at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve warm.
Yields 12 muffins.
