Rice And Beef Deroma - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground meat
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. diced green pepper
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
    1/2 tsp. oregano flakes
    1/2 tsp. basil leaves
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (1 lb.) can stewed tomatoes
    3 c. cooked rice
    1 lb. Ricotta
    1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Salt and pepper pieces of top round steak, cut thin.*
    Add sliced onion; roll meat to cover.
    Add 1/2 slice bacon spread with mustard and roll meat to cover.
    Continue to roll meat up and secure with toothpick, inserted horizontally.
    Brown all sides in butter.
    Add a very small amount of water; cover and lower heat to simmer until tender.
    (I use a heavy Dutch oven and cook about 2 hours.)
    Make a basic white sauce.
    Remove beef from pan to serving dish; add sauce to gravy, cooking just enough to mix. Pour over the rolls of beef and serve.
