Mrs. C. L. Elliott'S Old Fashioned Ice Cream Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. flour
    1 qt. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. lemon
Preparation
    Beat eggs well.
    Add sugar and flour.
    Heat milk, add to egg mixture.
    Cook in double boiler until thickened.
    Cool.
    Add flavorings.
    Strain to remove lumps.
