Ingredients

1 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
jam, preserves or marmalade
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Mix flour, sugar and butter to a pie crust consistency.
Add egg yolk and vanilla; mix well.
Form into a ball and chill until firm enough to handle easily.
