Cheese Ball - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
    8 oz. grated sharp cheese (at room temperature)
    3 Tbsp. picante sauce (medium or hot)
    1 Tbsp. green bell pepper, diced
    1 Tbsp. green onion, minced
    1 small jar diced pimento, drained
    2 Tbsp. each: red, orange and yellow dry pepper flakes
    garlic powder to taste

Preparation
    Beat up hickory nuts very fine until the mixture can be formed into balls.
    Place in a saucepan and cover with boiling water. Stir well separating the shells from the \"goodies.\"
    Strain through a cloth or fine sieve.
    Add either cooked rice or mashed hominy.
    Heat and serve in a bowl just as you would soup.
    Season with sugar.
