Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. quick oatmeal
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 stick margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
dates or raisins (optional)
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. nuts
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. coconut

Preparation

Bring these ingredients to a boil, stirring constantly. Spread on cake.
Place iced cake under broiler for a few minutes. Remove and cool.
