Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. hot water
    2 oz. instant coffee
    4 c. sugar
    1/5 oz. 100 proof vodka
    1 vanilla bean
Preparation
    Combine first three ingredients in saucepan.
    Heat until coffee and sugar are dissolved.
    Let cool.
    Add in vodka and the vanilla bean, cut in half.
    Pour mixture into a bottle and close top.
    (Mrs. Butterworth's syrup bottles work well.)
    Place in dark place for 3 weeks, shaking bottle every other day.
    Make at Thanksgiving to be ready for the Christmas season!
