Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 c. fresh grated coconut
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Mix sugar and water.
Cook over medium heat until it spins a thread.
While this mixture is cooking, put coconut and butter into a mixing bowl.
When sugar mixture spins a thread, pour over the coconut and butter.
Beat for a few minutes.
Pour into a buttered platter.
Cool.
Cut into serving pieces.
