Pecan Chess Bars (Beach Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix (do not follow instructions on box)
    1 egg
    1 stick Blue Bonnet margarine, melted
    2 c. chopped pecans
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
    1 box confectioners sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract (optional)
Preparation
    Mix with electric mixer and pour over top of crust. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes. Cuts better when cooled real well. I refrigerate overnight before cutting.
