Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9-inch baked pie shell
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. water
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    3 Tbsp. butter (oleo)
    1/3 to 1/2 c. lemon juice
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Mix sugar and cornstarch in pan; add water. Cook until thickens. Add egg yolks to small amount of hot mixture in a dish, then add to mixture in pan. Boil 1 minute. Add lemon juice and butter; boil 1 or 2 minutes. Pour into pie shell.
    Cover with meringue and bake. Use the egg whites for meringue.
