German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2/3 c. vinegar
    1 1/3 c. water
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    6 c. potatoes, cooked and sliced
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute onion in 3 tablespoons of bacon drippings.
    Blend in flour and stir in vinegar and water.
    Cook until slightly thickened.
    Add sugar, salt and pepper.
    Simmer 10 minutes.
    Pour over sliced, cooked potatoes.
    Let flavors blend for 6 to 8 hours in refrigerator.
