Sauerkraut Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. spareribs
    2 qt. water
    1 bay leaf
    little onion
    salt and pepper
    1 can sauerkraut
    1 or 2 potatoes
Preparation
    Cook spareribs in water until nearly done.
    Add bay leaf, onion, salt and pepper.
    Add sauerkraut and potatoes.
    Cook until potatoes are done.
    A little cream may be added.
    Half and half can be used.
