Vanilla Drop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. milk
    1/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. brown or white sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    2 c. cake flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla flavor
Preparation
    Combine shortening
    and
    sugar;
    cream thoroughly.
    Add beaten egg.
    Sift
    the dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture alternately
    with
    the milk and vanilla.
    Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet and bake in a moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for
    10
    to
    15
    minutes.
    Makes 50 cookies 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
