Poppy Seed Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. poppy seed, ground
2 c. water
2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
salt
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Put
butter
in
deep
skillet and melt.
Add flour and cook a little (do not brown), add water. Then add ground poppy seed, salt
and
sugar.
Cook over low heat until the mixture thickens and is
soft
to taste, about 30 minutes or so, stirring occasionally so as not to stick to pan.
This mixture may be kept in refrigerator and used as needed for kolaches, poppy seed roll or just eating as dessert.
