Juanita'S Flour Tortillas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour (not sifted)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco shortening
Preparation

Mix the dry ingredients together and then work shortening into flour until mealy.
Start with 2 cups of very warm (but not hot) water.
Work in little by little small portions of water into the meaty mix until soft dough is achieved.
Roll the dough into baseball sized dough balls and let rest for 15 minutes.
Roll each little dough ball into a nice, round tortilla, with a rolling pin, turning the tortilla over several times.
Cook on a hot griddle (or in a hot skillet) without grease!
Turn when bubbles begin to appear and puff up; take out when both sides have been cooked.
