Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. lean beef or rump roast
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 medium onion, sliced
    2 bay leaves
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 c. ketchup
Preparation
    Note:
    If using crock-pot (slow cooker), also add sliced carrots and sliced potatoes.
