Asparagus Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    1 can all-green asparagus
    1 c. hot asparagus liquid
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Soak gelatin in cold water.
    Drain asparagus and reserve liquid.
    Measure 1 cup liquid, adding water if necessary, and heat.
    Pour over gelatin and stir until dissolved; refrigerate. When partially set, fold in mayonnaise, whipped cream, salt and lemon juice.
    Add asparagus and almonds.
    Pour into a 5-cup mold and chill until congealed.
    Serve with additional mayonnaise that has been whipped with a little lemon juice.
    Serves 12.
