Beef Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. beef roast
    2 cans tomatoes
    1 large onion
    1 bunch green onions
    1/2 to 1 hot green pepper (optional)
    1/4 to 1/2 head cabbage
    6 carrots
    8 large potatoes
    1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
Preparation
    Cut roast in bite-size pieces.
    Cut all vegetables into small pieces.
    Saute onions.
    Put carrots, tomatoes, meat and onions in 1 quart of water and cook for 1 1/2 hours.
    Add mixed vegetables, potatoes, cabbage and green pepper and cook until potatoes are done.
