New York Jewish Penicillin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 3 1/2 lb. chicken
2 carrots
3 celery stalks
1 large onion
1 parsnip
1 turnip
1 leek
1 bunch parsley
1 bunch Italian parsley
fresh dill
10 c. water
salt and pepper to taste
1 pkg. fine egg noodles
Preparation

Place all of above ingredients, except dill and noodles, in large soup kettle.
Bring to a boil, then simmer for 1 1/2 hours, skimming top for sediment.
Remove all of ingredients from soup. Return some chicken pieces and carrot pieces to soup.
Skim fat off top.
Serve with fresh dill and freshly boiled noodles.
