Quick Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans Lucks navy beans or Great Northern
    1 c. chicken broth
    1 Tbsp. ketchup
    2 c. water
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1 carrot, diced
    1 medium potato, diced
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. oil or butter
Preparation
    In a 2-quart pot (or larger), add oil, onion and celery.
    Cook until tender.
    Add carrot, potato, salt, pepper, chicken broth, water and ketchup; cook until tender.
    Pour 1 can of the beans in a blender or mash.
    Pour all the beans into the pot with other ingredients.
    Stir well.
    Add more liquid, if needed.
    Makes 4 servings.
