Barbecue Sauce(Texas Version) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 Tbsp. garlic powder
    2 large onions, chopped
    1 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    4 bay leaves, crumbled
    1/4 c. hot pepper (fresh or canned)
    3 Tbsp. liquid smoke
    1 large onion, sliced
Preparation
    Saute 2 chopped onions in
    butter;
    do\tnot brown.
    Add all other ingredients except liquid
    smoke
    and
    sliced onion. Simmer for 30 minutes.
    Makes 1 pint.
