Cherry Nut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    3 c. cake flour
    1 lb. candied cherries
    5 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. lemon
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and
    sugar;
    add egg yolks, one at a time. Beat well.
    Mix flour, nuts and fruit, then add to the batter. Beat egg whites and
    fold
    in mixture.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 3/4 hours.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes.
