Grits With Cream And Cheese(Classic And Unbelievably Creamy) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. whipping cream
    2 c. milk
    3/4 c. quick-cooking grits
    2 Tbsp. butter
    salt and freshly ground white pepper to taste
    1 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In a heavy saucepan, bring cream and milk to a simmer.
    Add grits, stirring, and return to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cover and cook 7 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
    If grits begin to separate and turn lumpy, add a bit of water to keep creamy.
    Remove from heat and add butter, salt and pepper.
    Stir in cheese.
    This can be made ahead and reheated in a microwave or over low heat.
    Makes 4 servings.
