Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 green cabbage, shredded
    1/2 purple cabbage, shredded
    1 large green pepper, diced
    1 medium onion, diced
    1/2 c. celery, diced
    1/2 c. carrots, diced
    2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. oil
    3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix together cabbage, green pepper, onion, celery, carrots, salt and 3/4 cup sugar.
    Let set in refrigerator for 1 hour. Bring to a boil the vinegar, oil and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
    Boil 3 or 4 minutes and pour over the cabbage mixture.
    Store in refrigerator.
