Oatmeal Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/3 c. water, divided
    1 c. dry oatmeal
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    5 to 5 3/4 c. flour, divided
Preparation
    In saucepan, bring 2 cups water to boil; add butter and oatmeal.
    Simmer 1 minute.
    Remove to a large bowl and let cool to 120\u00b0 to 130\u00b0.
    Heat the remaining water to 120\u00b0 to 130\u00b0; add yeast. To the oatmeal mixture, add 1/2 flour.
    Mix well.
    Add enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
    Turn out on floured surface and knead 6 to 8 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
    Add additional flour if necessary.
    Place dough in greased bowl and turn once.
    Cover and let rise until double (1 hour).
    Punch dough in half, divide and shape each half into balls.
    Place 1-inch apart in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cover and let rise until double, 40 to 60 minutes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
