Alouise'S Sauerkraut, Sausage And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. sauerkraut
    1 lb. smoked sausage
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. bacon drippings or oil
    3/4 c. instant potatoes
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 (approximately) c. flour
Preparation
    Cook sauerkraut in water.
    Drain; set aside.
    Saute onion in bacon drippings.
    Add cooked sauerkraut.
    Cook sausage (boil); remove sausage.
    Cut into bite size pieces and add to sauerkraut mixture.
