Virginia Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    6 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. each: vanilla and lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light.
    Add eggs (slightly beaten).
    Add flour and milk (alternately), beating after each addition.
    Add 1 teaspoon baking powder to the last cup of flour, stirring in the flavorings.
    Baking in a well-greased and floured 9-inch tube pan, bake 45 minutes at 200\u00b0, then increase heat to 350\u00b0 and bake until done, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    When done, cake will leave tester clean.
    Cool in pan 15 minutes; turn out.
