No Fail Buttermilk Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    dash of cinnamon
    2 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. butter flavoring
    1 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    Combine milk, soda, sugar and cinnamon in a large heavy saucepan.
    Bring to boil.
    Boil to a soft ball stage.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in pecans, vanilla, butter and butter flavoring.
    Beat until candy loses its gloss.
    Scrape to one end of the pan.
    When it begins to thicken and gets creamy looking, drop by teaspoonful onto wax paper.
    Remove from wax paper as soon as the pralines congeal.
