Three Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans cut green beans
    2 cans kidney beans
    1 can water chestnuts
    3 c. vinegar
    4 c. sugar
    2 cans wax beans
    1 onion, thinly sliced
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Use equal amounts of onion and tomato slices (looks nice with long thin slices).
    Sprinkle generously with salt, pepper and white vinegar.
    Chill.
