Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 qt. peanuts
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
few drops of red food coloring

Preparation

Mix ingredients together in a heavy saucepan.
Cook to soft-ball stage.
Beat until creamy.
The candy will turn cloudy. Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet.
