Mushrooms Florentine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
    1 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    3 pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    1 c. (4 oz.) Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Saute garlic in 1/4 cup butter.
    Remove garlic; saute mushrooms.
    Combine spinach, onion and remaining 1/4 cup melted butter.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    With this mixture, cover the bottom of a 10-inch shallow casserole.
    Sprinkle with half the cheese.
    Cover with mushrooms, then remaining cheese. Refrigerate, if desired.
