Suzie'S Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

9-inch pie shell, baked
1 qt. cleaned strawberries
2/3 c. water
1 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 c. water
few drops red food coloring
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
Preparation

Simmer 1 cup strawberries with 2/3 cup water for 3 minutes. Blend sugar, cornstarch and 1/3 cup water; add this mixture to strawberries.
After this starts to boil, continue boiling for 1 minute (or until thick), stirring constantly.
Add a few drops of red food coloring if desired.
Cool.
Spread cream cheese over crust.
Put well drained strawberries on top of cream cheese.
Pour cooked mixture over berries.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Serve with whipped topping.
