7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head lettuce, broken in pieces
    10 oz. frozen peas (don't thaw)
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
    3 hard-boiled eggs, diced
    1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, diced or grated
    1/2 c. Bac*Os bacon bits
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    In 9 x 12-inch dish, put in layers the first 7 ingredients as shown.
    Then spread mayonnaise over all to seal.
    Seal bowl and refrigerate.
    Toss just before serving.
