Cornbread - cooking recipe

1/2 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. butter
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Melt butter in an 8 or 9-inch skillet. Mix the 5 dry ingredients together.
Beat the egg and add to the dry ingredients.
Add milk; stir to mix.
Pour in heated skillet. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until brown.
