Ingredients

4 c. mashed salal berries
6 c. sugar
1 pkg. pectin
1 c. water
Preparation

Stir together fruit and sugar and allow to stand for 1 hour. Boil together pectin and water, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Add to berry mixture.
Pour into clean jars; cover with cheesecloth and let stand 48 hours.
Seal with lids and freeze until ready to use.
