Swedish Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground round steak
    1/3 lb. ground lean pork
    1 large onion, finely diced
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    2/3 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Saute onion until golden brown in a little fat.
    Mix all ingredients together with only enough water to help in forming balls.
    Brown balls in same fat as onions were browned in, turning frequently to brown uniformly.
    Add 1/2 cup hot water.
    Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
    Makes about 24 meatballs.
