Fruit Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pineapple preserves
    1 lb. butter
    1 box light brown sugar
    3 eggs
    4 c. self-rising flour
    3 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    6 c. pecans
    12 slices candied pineapple
    1 lb. dates
    1 lb. candied cherries
Preparation
    Cream the butter, sugar and pineapple preserves well.
    Add vanilla and soda.
    Flour the nuts, dates and candied fruit with 1/2 cup flour.
    Set aside.
    Beat eggs well.
    Mix with butter, sugar and preserves.
    Add remaining flour to this mixture, then add fruit and nuts.
    Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
