Streusel Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. all-purpose baking mix
1/2 c. margarine
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 pt. strawberries, sliced
2 c. thawed whipped topping with real cream
Preparation

Combine baking mix, 1/4 cup melted margarine and milk, mixing until soft dough forms.
Pat dough into two greased 8-inch layer pans.
Combine brown sugar and walnuts.
Cut in remaining margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle evenly over dough.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans.
Cool.
Cover bottom layer with 1/2 of strawberries and 1 1/2 cups whipped topping.
Top with second shortcake layer, remaining strawberries and whipped topping.
