Mother'S Prune Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. pitted prunes
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. white granulated sugar
    2 beaten egg whites
    1 baked pastry shell
Preparation
    Cook prunes with a little water.
    Mash fine and add the chopped nuts.
    Add the sugar to the beaten egg whites; beat well again.
    Add the prune and nut mixture.
    Put the prune stuff into a baked pastry shell.
    Bake very slowly for about 25 minutes.
    Serve with a generous dollop of real whipped cream.
