Oatmeal Scotties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. (2 sticks) softened butter
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract or grated rind of 1 orange
    3 c. quick or old fashioned oats (uncooked)
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) butterscotch morsels
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; set aside.
    In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract (or orange rind) until creamy.
    Gradually beat in flour mixture.
    Stir in oats and butterscotch flavored morsels.
    Drop by measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 7 to 8 minutes for chewy cookies or 9 to 10 minutes for crisp cookies.
    Let stand for 2 minutes.
    Remove from cookie sheets; cool.
    Makes about 4 dozen.
