Spareribs And Potatoes In Hoisin Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. spareribs
    3 medium potatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    3 to 4 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/3 c. water
Preparation
    Have spareribs cut Chinese style 1 1/2-inch pieces.
    Pare potatoes and cube as for stew.
    Brown spareribs; add potatoes, salt, hoisin sauce, sugar and water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Lower heat and simmer 25 minutes.
    (Add more water if necessary.)
    Gravy will be made by itself without thickening.
    Serve with rice.
