Mrs. Harold Gillis' Nut Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs, separated
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream the shortening and sugar. Add egg yolks and beat well. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add to mixture, alternating with milk and flavoring.
Add nuts and stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in greased loaf pan in a 350\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes.
