Fettucine Alfredo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1 medium onion
    16 oz. fettucine pasta, cooked
    2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
    4 garlic cloves
    1 pt. whipping cream
    salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan. Saute garlic (minced) and onion (chopped) in butter. Add 1 1/2 cups whipping cream to butter mixture and over medium heat, bring to a boil, stirring until cream thickens.
    Add the drained and cooked fettucine pasta and the remaining cream.
    Toss in the cheese, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
