Butter Almond Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. melted butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
3 Tbsp. sliced almonds
1 Tbsp. granulated sugar, for garnish
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour a 9-inch round pan. Blend 1 1/2 cups sugar and melted butter.
Beat in eggs.
Stir in almond and vanilla extracts.
Add salt and flour and mix well. Spread batter evenly into pan.
Sprinkle with almonds and sugar for garnish.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
Makes 8 servings and tastes best after chilling in refrigerator.
