German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 slices bacon
    1 small onion, diced
    1/4 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    pepper to taste
    3 c. cooked, diced potatoes
    2 stalks celery, diced
Preparation
    Fry bacon; drain.
    Brown onion and celery in bacon fat.
    Add vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper; allow to boil for a few minutes.
    Add potatoes.
    Heat thoroughly before serving.
    Crumble bacon over the top.
