Ingredients

3 large yams
3 medium oranges
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
3/4 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cook yams in salted water until fork-tender. Cool.
Peel and cut off ends.
Cut each yam crosswise into 4 slices.
Place in a shallow casserole.
Peel oranges and slice each crosswise into 4 slices.
Place on top of yams.
Heat butter, orange peel, corn syrup and salt.
Pour over yams and oranges. Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven about 40 minutes, basting twice.
