Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. shortening, soft
1 c. milk
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients, then add other ingredients and beat with egg beater until smooth, about 1 minute.
Bake in 8-inch greased square pan at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
