Mosaic Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, creamed
    1 c. 4x sugar, sifted
    1 unbeaten egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) candied red cherries, quartered
    1 (8 oz.) candied green cherries, quartered
Preparation
    Cream butter.
    Add 4x sugar.
    Blend in egg, vanilla and flour. Stir in pecans and cherries.
    Refrigerate 3 to 4 hours in bowl. Divide into four, log-shaped pieces.
    Roll in wax paper. Refrigerate overnight.
    Slice.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
